Food & Beverage Server
Reports to: Food & Beverage Service Supervisor & Director-Culinary Service/Executive Chef
Job Purpose
The incumbent is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, taking orders, serving food and beverages and ensuring the overall satisfaction of our guests.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Services: Anticipate and fulfill guest needs, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction
Food and Beverage Services: Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner; Ensure that all dishes and beverages are presented with precision and adhere to the Centre’s standards and coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of orders/requests.
Knowledge and Communication: Possess in-depth knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods; Clearly communicate with guests regarding any dietary restrictions or allergens; Provide information about specials and promotions; Possess knowledge on house wines.
Table Maintenance: Set up tables with appropriate utensils, glassware, and tableware; Ensure that tables are clean, organized, and well-maintained throughout service; Assist in clearing and resetting tables for the next guests
Teamwork and Collaboration: Work cohesively with the kitchen, bar, and other staff to ensure smooth and efficient service; Liaise with the Supervisor on a daily basis, as to requirements or changes of the daily operation eg. staffing, table plans, and lay-up, menu and standards; Assist in training and mentoring new waitstaff as needed; Attend team meetings and Communicate with the Supervisor-Food & Beverage Services
Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to sanitation and safety standards; Adhere to personal hygiene standards and the Centre’s dress code
Complaint Resolution: Address and resolve guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally; Notify supervisors of any issues that require their attention
Compliance and Regulations: Adhere to all Centre’s policies and regulations; Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on safety and compliance requirements
Any other related duty(s) assigned by Management from time to time

Qualification & Experience
- High School Diploma
- NCTVET Level 2 Food & Beverage Service
- Experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry
- Up to Date Food Handlers Permit
- Long hours of work and work on week-ends, evenings and holidays as necessary
- Walking and/or standing for 9-10 hours or greater as required
- Must have the physical ability to manoeuver around facility and work both indoor and outdoor
- Must be able to carry trays comfortably without breakage, lift and move cutlery, dinnerware and drinkware
